Fila

Fila was founded in 1911 in the Italian town of Biella by the Fila brothers. Their idea was to provide mainly clothing for the local population. In the 1970s, they specialised in sportswear. Since 2007, Fila has been in the hands of a South Korean company, which has grown the brand and expanded into clothing. The clothing became especially popular among tennis players and had its peak in the 1980s. The brand got an enormous boost when the tennis player Björn Borg started wearing Fila. In Belgium, they also sponsored our national pride Kim Clijsters for years during her tennis career.
